On May 14, 2018, Vadim Krasnoselsky held a retreat at the territory of the Bender Fortress. Together with the Head of State, the progress of construction work was inspected by advisor to the President of the Transnistria Pavel Prokudin, head of the Bendery State Administration Roman Ivanchenko and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ivan Untu.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, a year ago, the territory near the Bendery fortress looked quite different: there were abandoned boxes of a military unit, half-destroyed concrete structures. Today, more than five hundred seedlings of deciduous and coniferous trees have been planted on the square set aside for the future Alexander Nevsky Park. Planting the same number of plants is scheduled for autumn. During the meeting it was said that the planting of lawn grass would begin the other day.
The President recalled that the construction of a number of objects, which will become part of the recreation area of Transnistrians and guests of the republic, is planned on the territory of the historic site. These will be various pavilions and playgrounds.
A visit to the Alexander Nevsky Park and the use of the parking lot are supposed to be free of charge.
“Every visitor will find here something to do and enjoy according to his taste. So that a man came here with his family in the morning and left on a rested evening. Regularly planned to hold festivals, holidays, cultural events. The main goal is to make the Bendery fortress the central tourist place of the republic, ”the Head of State noted, recalling that the object was scheduled for the 610th anniversary of the town of Bendery.
