Metropolitan Vladimir of Chisinau and all Moldova arrived in Bendery.  According to the press service he was welcomed by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky and Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Savva on the Transnistrian land. The meeting took place on the territory of The Military Historical Memorial Complex. The interlocutors called this place sacred. More than five thousand soldiers and officers are buried here: the memory of not only Russian, but also Romanian, Hungarian, French soldiers is immortalized. The former military cemetery keeps memories of the tragic events that took place in this region at different times.

Metropolitan Vladimir praised the efforts to create a memorial complex, calling the initiative "a great good deed." The PMR President told about the history of the creation of the historical object, the details of which are known to him not by hearsay: Vadim Krasnoselsky was not only the initiator and ideological inspirer, but also a direct participant in the process of erecting a memorial and collecting information about the soldiers who had found eternal shelter here.

The head of the Transnistrian state shared with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova memories of how archival work was done: the materials entered the Transnistria from information sources from various countries.

Another historical object that, at the suggestion of the Transnistrian side, was visited today by the Ruling Bishop of the Kishinev Diocese, is the Bendery Fortress. Accompanied by the President of the PMR, he visited the Bendery Church of the Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky and the new chapel, erected in memory of the holy royal martyrs - members of the family of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II.

The interlocutors spoke about the significance of the work carried out to restore the temples and strengthen the foundations of the Orthodox faith. The Metropolitan treated with interest and attention to all the objects located on the territory of the Bendery Fortress memorial complex, assessed the scale of the work on its restoration, noting that he supports any undertakings associated with the preservation of historical memory.
