
The exhibition hall is located next to the military temple of Alexander Nevsky in the Bendery fortress. Built on the site of a former concrete box. The total area of the hall is over 500 sq. m. Opened on October 7, 2018, on the Day of the city of Bendery. On a permanent basis, historical locations are exhibited in the hall, reflecting the stages of the history of Pridnestrovie from the time of Catherine II to the present - the gallery "Soldier Liberator", in the creation of which the President of the PMR V.N. Krasnoselsky and the commander of the RF OGRF in Transnistria, Colonel Zelenkov D.Yu.
In permanent locations, exhibits are presented in the form of round sculptures of soldiers in uniforms corresponding to a specific period of time, exact copies of regimental banners and banners of musketeer (infantry) regiments that were directly related to significant events in the history of Pridnestrovie. Each location has an individual description, which is displayed here.
The Soldier Liberator Gallery is located in the center of the Exhibition Hall.
At present, the exhibition hall demonstrates its own collection of weapons of MUP IVMK "Bendery Fortress" - "Weapons of the World", as well as a collection of weapons of the Tiraspol Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR, which presents more than 150 weapons from the periods from the Wild West to the modern: machine guns, automatic weapons, rifles, revolvers, submachine guns, hunting and edged weapons. At the far end of the hall are two 120 mm. regimental mortars.

The hall is mainly open during the summer season, during the period of mass influx of tourists. In the winter season, the work of the hall is built on an individual basis, i.e. on weekends, holidays, as well as at the request of tourist groups.


Location No. 1: The historical era of Catherine the Great (1762 - 1796)
The Nizhny Novgorod musketeer regiment in 1798 arrived from Odessa to Tiraspol; was stationed in the barracks of the Tiraspol fortress under construction. Regiment Commander, Colonel Kardomichi D.I. was one of the first commandants of the Tiraspol fortress. In the Razdelyansky district of the Odessa region, the village of Kardomichevo, the former estate of the colonel, still exists.

Location №2: Transnistria on the eve of the Patriotic War of 1812
The 55th Podolsky Infantry Regiment was stationed in the city of Bender for more than thirty years and had a significant impact on its development and formation. The descendants of the soldiers and officers of the Podolsky regiment still live in the city. In the war of 1812, the regiment acted as part of the troops of the corps of Wittgenstein P.Kh. in the St. Petersburg direction. In 1912, soldiers and officers of the 55th Podolsky Infantry Regiment erected a monument in Bendery in honor of the 100th anniversary of the victory in the war of 1812, which became one of the symbols of Pridnestrovie.

Location number 3: Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878 Liberation of Bulgaria
General Dragomirov M.I. the largest military theorist of the Russian Imperial Army of the second half of the 19th century; leading military educator of that period of time; adjutant general; general of infantry (1891); Kiev, Podolsk and Volyn Governor-General (since 1898) During the specified period of time he was the head of the 14th Infantry Division, which included the 55th Podolsk Infantry and the 56th Zhytomyr Infantry Regiments. The division took part in all the major battles of this military campaign, the Podolsky and Zhytomyr regiments participated in the assault on the Shipka Pass, showing exceptional valor and courage.

Location number 4: Transnistria. World War I
The 56th Zhytomyr Infantry Regiment was stationed in the city of Tiraspol for a long time, had its own barracks, a regimental church and a monument there. He was part of the 14th Infantry Division, with which, together with the 8th Army Corps, he took part in the First World War on the Southwestern Front, participated in the Brusilov breakthrough.

Location №5: Pridnestrovie during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1944
Pridnestrovie, like all other territories of the Soviet Union, fully experienced all the hardships, troubles and losses of this war, the city of Bendery was occupied by German-Romanian troops and liberated in 1944, as a result of the start of the Iasi-Kishinev operation.

Location No. 6: Peacekeeping operation of the Russian Federation in Transnistria
Russian peacekeepers stopped the hostilities that unfolded in 1992 as a result of Moldova's military aggression against Pridnestrovie, then called "restoring constitutional order" and claimed the lives of more than 800 Pridnestrovians; more than 2,000 residents of the PMR were injured. The peacekeeping mission of Russia, which was confirmed by the mandate of the UN Security Council, is still operating, maintaining peace on this land and the lives of the inhabitants of Pridnestrovie.
Various exhibitions are held in the exhibition hall on a regular basis. Previously, paintings and cultural compositions of artists and sculptors of Pridnestrovie with Orthodox themes were exhibited. Also, a collection of weapons from the Second World War, by the Pridnestrovian collector Yuri Bulat, was demonstrated for a long time.
